Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have strong clinical nursing skills with experience in clinical practice, leadership, facilitation, coaching, people management, change management as well as quality and operational improvement. Knowledge of acute care is required. Knowledge of AHS, Alberta’s healthcare structure, and of collective agreements. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required. Demonstrated experience in clinical nursing practice, of which a minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience is required. Active registration with CARNA required. Current BCLS-HCP required- issued from Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC) only. TORBSST Trained.
Preferred Qualifications:Current NVCI training an asset. Demonstrated experience in a leadership role (e.g. Charge Nurse, Nurse Educator, Professional Practice Lead, etc.) an asset. Equivalency of education and experience will be considered.
