Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in public health working as an RN within the 5 last years. Ability to stand, twist, lean, walk and bend for the majority of the shift. The role also requires continued use of personal protective equipment. Must be able to raise arms above head to appropriately don and doff PPE as well as lift equipment and supplies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Charge nurse experience. Experience with testing in a COVID-19 testing center or fast-track, or testing within acute care. Experience working with diverse cultures and age groups, marginalized populations, supporting new employees, and preceptorship of students. Immunization experience, familiar with cold chain guidelines. Working knowledge MS office, email, internet access, data entry, SharePoint.
