Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, including the ability to elicit information and gain support. Ability to work harmoniously and interdependently within the interdisciplinary team environment. Ability to make sound professional judgements. An excellent understanding of the continuum of care from community, to acute care, to rehabilitation and alternate community options. Required to make a decision that is best for overall patient safety and quality. This position will be asked to approach physicians and MOH about anticipated date of discharge, considering transfer or discharge of COVID and non COVID patients, as well as requesting timely consultations in order to facilitate effective patient flow.
