Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Analytics Application Lead, the Analytics Application Support Analyst supports Alberta Health Services Data & Analytics applications working with backend systems, the downstream analysts and enablement.

Description:

The position ensures reliable operations of information systems, resolves technical problems, improves, or automates existing processes, and participates in projects. This will be done through existing processes already completed by other members of the team or by new methods created by the analyst. This position provides support for several analyst-focused data applications including but not limited to Tableau, Alteryx, and applications supporting R and Python. The support can be anything from error messages displayed on the graphic user interface to reconfiguration of malfunctioning applications or even showcasing use cases and functionality. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining some of the infrastructure these tools run on including Windows server management, upgrades, and resolving technical issues. Automating and optimizing processes is usually done through CMD, Alteryx, and Python but, other methods are accepted. The support analyst will also be tasked with helping users utilize the tools present whether that is through building documentation, presenting capability and features, or working directly with analysts. Where the problem cannot be resolved by the incumbent, they coordinate with stakeholders to identify the scope and impact of a potential problem, develop an interim work around and coordinate with the vendor for problem resolution and solution implementation.
