Your Opportunity:

This position reports to Directors of Clinical Operations for Acute Care, Allied and Seniors Health in Area 1 (La Crete, Fort Vermillion and High Level) and Area 2 (Peace River, Grimshaw, Manning and Fairview). The Allied Health Manager position is a key leadership role within North Zone operations that is responsible and accountable for providing the leadership, direction, planning, organization and evaluation of the Allied Health Services portfolio in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services.

Description:

The manager will work with interdisciplinary teams and must be able to operationalize processes to support best practices and evidence-based care in the delivery of allied health services to patients in Northern Alberta. The incumbent must have a proven record of building and maintaining positive working relationships, demonstrate flexibility and ability to manage change in a constantly changing health care environment. This position works closely with the integration of services in other health care teams such as school divisions and contracted care facilities. This portfolio is currently responsible for Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Recreational Therapy, Speech Language Therapy, Respiratory Therapy and Audiology.
