Description:

Reporting to the Lead of Digital Communications, this temporary role supports the execution and maintenance of Alberta Health Services’ digital strategy across multiple internal and external digital platforms. The successful candidate will assist with daily digital communication tasks, including posting and updating content on AHS websites. They will collaborate with various teams and subject matter experts to understand user needs and enhance content clarity and usability online. Responsibilities include aligning digital projects with business objectives, developing detailed work plans, tracking milestones, and communicating outcomes. Building and maintaining strong relationships across the province is essential to delivering online solutions that serve Albertans, AHS staff, and volunteers effectively.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of three years practical experience of similar work experience. Experience and knowledge in content management systems such as SharePoint, OpenText, Drupal and others. Education or experience related to creating and/or adapting design, including wireframes and visual mock-ups, based on complex requirements. Experience in development of digital communications using HTML and CSS - specifically with HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript. Demonstrated experience in writing for the web. Extensive knowledge of digital trends and standard methodologies.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience in working with web analytics and web strategies as well as familiarity with SEO (search engine optimization), specific experience in Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Experience in web accessibility. Excellent editing and writing skills and will be meticulous about accuracy and grammar with a sound understanding of writing for the web and engaging various online audiences. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and listening) and have excellent skills using MS Office. Detail oriented, a team player accustomed to fast‐paced, collaborative environments with tight deadlines. Proven time management and prioritization skills with the ability to respond quickly to changing priorities. Able to Identify and evaluate potential opportunities to improve existing web, apps, mobile and interactive designs. Ensure development of consistent user experience across all areas of the website.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in project management is preferred.
