Description:
As the Advisor, Human Resources Business Partnerships (HRBP), you will provide full HR support and be accountable for the delivery, implementation, and integration of human resources processes, frameworks, solutions and services to an identified client group, ensuring they align with Alberta Health Services (AHS) provincial approaches, organizational priorities/direction, Our People Strategy and evolving best practices. In this role, you will provide HR expertise in a variety of human resource functions with an enhanced focus on identifying when strategic HR approaches may be necessary in supporting clients with their workforce needs. This position supports people management by coordinating, advising and if necessary, providing direction particularly in areas of workplace issues such as performance management, accommodation, investigations, and grievances with the identified client group, and external stakeholders such as local union partners. As such, part of this role will be to build and maintain proactive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. This job requires some travel within area of accountability.

Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related area. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:2 years working within an HR Generalist role within a complex environment that includes experience with labour/employee relations. Demonstrated critical thinking skills, with ability to apply a broad lens on issues that impact beyond assigned portfolio. Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive situations with confidentiality, tact, diplomacy, decisive insight and effectively navigate politically sensitive environments. Comfortable navigating complex situations including identifying risks and mitigation strategies with the ability to influence clients/operations in order to achieve outcomes that align with HR and labour relations best practices. Ability to build effective relationships with all stakeholders at all levels in the organization. Effective communicator (written and oral) that can produce high quality reports and collaborate with teams & colleagues and stakeholders. Ability to meet deadlines while managing a robust workload. Ability to support change, maintain resilience and flexibility in a complex, rapidly changing environment. Comfortable with working independently and operating within a virtual working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Healthcare or other public sector experience preferred. Experience working within a unionized environment and/or an organization with multiple legislative requirements. Experience supporting complex initiatives, coaching and mentoring operational leaders combined with group facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
