Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or recognized equivalent required. Medical terminology coursework is required.

Additional Qualifications:

Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM required. Computer proficiency in a Windows environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent keyboarding skills. Excellent attention to detail. Must maintain a positive public image to patients, hospital visitors, and staff. Must provide professional service at all times in keeping with Covenant Health's Mission, Vision, and Values. Must be dependable and reliable. Candidates selected for an interview will be required to pass a medical terminology test, Admitting scenario test, and typing test.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working with the public or in a hospital or medical office interacting with patient information is preferred. Previous Admitting experience preferred. Previous eCLINICIAN and VAX experience preferred.
