Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. diploma in business or office administration, specialized external certification).
Additional Required Qualifications:Intermediate technical/professional experience in a relevant environment. i.e. five to seven years administrative experience in a teaching hospital/multidisciplinary medical setting required to understand the complex relationship between clinical operations and educational programming. Demonstrated advanced proficiency in the use of personal computers and various network and software applications (Outlook (calendar & email), Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point). Strong skills working with databases including: configuration, analysis/querying, and data quality. Typing 60-70 wpm including alphanumeric data entry. This position works with detailed data and high volumes of information so must have a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and must put care into ensuring accuracy and compliance with governing policies, rules, and processes. Analytic and decision making skills are necessary to anticipate, identify, and independently recommend appropriate actions to complex administrative problems. Strong communication skills in managing confrontational, confidential and problem-solving situations, often as first contact on behalf of the program. Work performed is confidential and sensitive in nature and therefore requires discretion and tact when dealing with all levels of staff. Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment and effectively with minimal direction. Flexibility/adaptability to management styles.
Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience with postgraduate medical education in Calgary and a strong understanding of the governing policies and standards across residency training programs.
