Your Opportunity:

Make your administrative expertise matter where it counts! Are you an organized, solutions-oriented professional with a passion for public health? Do you have a sharp understanding of disease control workflows and the information systems that support them? If so, we have an opportunity that puts your skills to use in the service of healthier communities and health protection. Safe Healthy Environments has an opportunity for an experienced administrative support professional to support a provincial Environmentally Acquired Disease Control Team that will focus on controlling environmentally acquired diseases including notifiable disease, animal exposure, suspected foodborne illness and outbreak investigations. Our team will respond to our investigations with speed, precision, and coordination—and we need a leader to anchor our administrative operations. This is where you come in. As the EADCT Admin Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth, responsive, and data-informed operation of our environmentally acquired disease control program. This isn’t a traditional admin job—it’s a strategic position at the heart of our team. You will coordinate complex workflows, manage documentation for outbreak investigations, support project planning, and bring order and clarity to a fast-moving team of public health professionals. You will be a trusted partner to public health inspectors, medical officers of health, analysts, and senior leaders—helping them stay focused on their mission by keeping systems flowing and organized. In short, your contribution will help communities avoid, detect, and respond to environmental public health threats more effectively. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Selected candidates may also be asked to complete a practical skills assessment relevant to the role.
