Your Opportunity:
Under the direction of the Provincial Supervisor, Person Identity Management (PIM), this position remediates demographic, encounter, and financial data integrity issues in admission, discharge, and transfer (ADT) and clinical information systems, and actively participates in project-related activities as the subject matter expert for Registration. The role provides data remediation, data management, and business process expertise related to ADT and Clinical Information Systems (CIS) such as Connect Care, Clinibase, Vax, Meditech, and other registries/repositories including the Person Directory, Netcare, and the AHS Client Registry. This position is responsible for managing daily data integrity issues through workqueues, emails, system-generated reports and lists, ServiceNow, and the HIM Service Portal. After investigation, SPI will conduct a thorough analysis based on provincial standards to ensure data integrity, remediation of issues, and/or follow-up. The role also provides leadership, support, and mentorship to end users to ensure Registration practices comply with the Provincial Registration Standards and Practices Manual. Other duties include organizing and providing staff training, collecting workload statistics, producing remediation reports, attending meetings, and supporting other project work.

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of three years’ experience in Health Information Management within the last five years, with a strong emphasis on Registration, is required. Applicants must have current experience and work-related knowledge of Registration and Person Identity Management workflows, along with current working experience with Netcare and the Person Directory. Current working knowledge of Patient Station within Connect Care, with the ability to demonstrate proficiency, is required. Demonstrated working knowledge of Alberta Health Services (AHS) registration systems is essential. Applicants must also have current keyboarding proficiency of at least 40 words per minute, mandatory computer proficiency with strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, and a Medical Terminology certificate of completion. Preferred Qualifications:Experience analyzing and responding to ServiceNow tickets as well as HIM Service Portal. Current working knowledge of Admit Supervisor with the AHCIP role within Connect Care, is preferred.
