Your Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity within Provincial Medical Affairs is seeking a casual Administrative Assistant V to join our team. Reporting to the Program Manager this position is a part of the Provincial Shared Services team providing administrative support for the appointment and privileging process and all related processes as outlined in the AHS Medical Staff Bylaws and rules. As a valuable member of the Privileging Team, you will collaborate and coordinate with Medical Staff, Medical Leadership, Zone staff and other external stakeholders (e.g. CPSA, AMA) to ensure that all clinicians are credentialed and appointed appropriately in accordance with AHS Bylaws and rules, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. Key responsibilities will follow required process and timelines as outlined in the AHS Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules for: Collection, processing, workflow management and follow-up of documents related to the Appointment and privileging process. Receiving and reviewing licensure, liability coverage and other required documents and certification. Coordination with zone and organization recruitment to ensure practitioners start timelines are met. Coordination of all Medical Leader recommendations and approvals, for new applications and changes including the preparation, distribution ZARC and CMO packages and tracking all recommendations and approvals. Managing all required correspondence for applications and appointments.

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 2 years senior level administrative assistant experience in a fast-paced office setting required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team as a contributing member. Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills, able to anticipate, identify and independently recommend appropriate actions to complex administrative issues. Must be able to maintain a professional attitude while exercising judgement, tact, diplomacy, and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive confidential issues. Ability to work with frequent interruptions, competently handling changing priorities with tight timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:Advance computer skills required in Microsoft office Suite; Database & Visio experience an asset. Previous Medical Affairs experience an asset.
