Administrative Support V
Your Opportunity:
The primary responsibility of the Administrative Support V position is to provide a full range of senior level administrative and secretarial duties for the Red Deer Regional Hospital Site Director, Central Zone. The role ensures the leaders' responsibilities related to portfolio delivery/development are aligned with director requirements and priorities. Activities include but are not limited to day-to-day administration; calendar management including scheduling of large meetings, minute taking, preparing meeting packages; drafting and coordinating correspondence; preparation of sensitive and confidential data, and presentations; preparing expense claims; supporting recruitment and select RMS processes, performance metrics and coordinating various administrative projects. Skills in project management supporting a team of managers/directors/colleagues in essential tasks to ensure the goals of the team are met. Effective organizational skills are critical as the position supports planning, organization and manages several diverse projects and provides information and informs directors portfolio team and staff as required. There is an expectation for a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, and independent judgment/critical thinking skills while maintaining confidentiality and discretion. This role will support a team of managers and admin, requiring skills in coaching and mentorship. A demonstrated ability to manage change, flourish in a busy environment, and operate within a team environment is required.

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of Grade 12, supplemented by a post-secondary secretarial/office administration certificate; a combination of education and experience may be considered. Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in working with various computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, One Note, Microsoft Teams), Visio, Outlook, SharePoint, and Internet. Minimum of 3 years secretarial experience preferably in a health-related environment is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills required. Ability to take initiative and handle a variety of assignments with attention to detail required. Ability to effectively manage and prioritize work and deal with changing priorities and difficult issues in a sensitive, confidential, and timely manner. Proven ability to function in a complex, changing environment. Excellent aptitude for interpersonal relations combined with an ability to interact with senior management and other team members in a professional and efficient manner.
Preferred Qualifications:Working knowledge of AHS systems and processes such as e-People, ESP, Finance, Info Systems, HR systems and Meditech programs is an asset. Experience working in a community environment of the health care system is preferred.
