Your Opportunity:
Are you a detail-oriented multi-tasker who can effectively monitor a variety of tasks/projects and are flexible and motivated? Recreation Therapy at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital is now seeking a full-time Admin Support V to provide support to the Recreation team and specifically to the Manager of Recreation Therapy. Duties include scheduling for the manager and assisting them with HR requirements when recruiting/orienting/ terminating staff. ePeople payroll entry for approximately 45 staff. This position supports the team in day-to-day operations of the office including typing of minutes, creating posters, forms/templates, and Excel tracking spreadsheets. The work also involves a range of tasks including file management, bank deposits, submitting eFacilities requests, ordering supplies through G&T/iProcurement, approving Markview, room booking, signing off on Requests for Leave, booking/tracking casual staff, and other related duties as required. The applicant must be capable of solving problems independently and finding solutions. This position should be familiar with the policies, procedures and processes for AHS as you will be the resource for your staff. As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative skills and knowledge to support the manager and staff in a wide variety of tasks.

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:Post-secondary course from a secretarial/business college. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a progressively responsible senior administrative position is required. Excellent keyboarding skills with a typing speed of 70 wpm. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Must be able to manage various competing demands with tight deadlines and with frequent interruptions. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work under limited supervision and have a high standard of critical thinking. Good attention to detail is needed. Must be highly self-motivated and have initiative and decision-making skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills and be respectful and professional and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in ePeople and familiarity with the HSAA and AUPE collective agreements preferred. Experience with Publisher, Adobe pro, Visio and Teams is an asset. Finance applications such as Oracle (Markview, iProcurement), eFacilities, IT/HR Service Hub is preferred. Experience in a collaborative team environment is an asset.
