Administrative Support V
Your Opportunity:
The Administrative Support V position is an advanced position that reports to the Director and requires high level of administrative support to work with minimal guidance and direction to support zone IPC leadership and provincial IPC initiatives, committees, IPC Physicians, Edmonton Zone Infection Prevention and Control team, peer administrative staff, and multiple stakeholders. This position directly supports the team for scheduling, timekeeping, establishing and maintaining department processes, managing electronic and hard copy document storage, retrieval and version control, managing meetings, preparing follow up action items for agendas, meeting minutes and managing group calendars. This position has a large focus on data entry and management. Proven work history involving strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is a requirement to meet provincial and federal data reporting requirements. Confidentiality is also a key position component due to the reporting of patient information. This position has a responsibility to understand and implement visual identity and writing standards to all department documents. Part of this work is to create and disseminate zone visual quality reports related to the zone IPC work, accreditation expectations and established organizational quality metrics. This position requires a candidate who can work with minimal direction and use critical thinking to address and escalate issues or problems where there may not be an established process or guidelines. Decisions involve office management, setting priorities, and determining the most efficient process for accomplishing the assigned work. This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong attention to detail.

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent experience with supporting teams and leaders in a healthcare environment. A minimum of 5 years related experience in a comparable work environment with similar scope, independence, and responsibility is required. The related experience must be in a healthcare environment. Intermediate /Advanced skills in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio, Outlook and MS teams. Required ePeople courses include ePeople timekeeping, RMS, iExpense, WHMIS, HIAC, and all AHS required organizational learning courses. Demonstrated advanced competency in data entry, Timekeeping/Approval and RMS is required. Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, work independently with minimal direction and work under tight timeline pressure while dealing with numerous interruptions, all while focusing on attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
