Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in an administrative position required. Advanced knowledge of AHS administrative systems, financial and human resources processes and policies required. Proven ability to work in a fast paced, high demand environment. Experience in complex calendar management, organizing information, preparing agendas, minutes recording, composing correspondence, preparing complex reports and presentations, table and project management is required. The incumbent must have experience with invoicing, contract renewals, procurement of supplies and equipment, and gathering resources and background materials. Requires excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills. Requires independent judgment, initiative, responsibility, and action. Must be proactive, flexible, and able to work with competing priorities, variety, and complexity of issues. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects, Redcap, and Visio). Working within a complex organization on innovative projects proposals and planning studies. Demonstrated leadership planning, priority setting, and time management skills required. Some heavy lifting required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of an Administrative Professional diploma or equivalent with experience in a health care environment is required along with an advanced knowledge of computer technology. Annual education includes Customer Service, Diversity Training, AHS Ethics, and Collect It, Protect It. WHIMIS, Workplace Health and Safety, and Emergency. Response Code courses are an asset.
