Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager Site Capacity and Inpatient Permanent Float Pool, this position is responsible for patient placement overnight within the Stollery Children’s Hospital, as well as supporting equitable pre-placement of the float pool to the inpatient units as a Workforce Management (WFM) liaison. In addition, this role also offers assistance to all units overnight with morgue transfers as needed. This position performs patient moves in Connect Care related to patient bed placement. This position coordinates and assigns beds for emergency department patient admissions through the night. Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff and is then responsible for accurately placing admissions according to diagnosis and isolation requirements. This position will support all units at the Stollery Children's Hospital during the night shift with a focus on supporting admissions out of the Emergency department to the inpatient units in the night. The Patient Care Manager on call is available for support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 Completion of medical terminology course. Completion of, or the ability to demonstrate, keyboarding experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Connect Care experience.
