Your Opportunity:

Access 24/7 is a single point of contact for Recovery Alberta and Covenant addiction & mental health services. The range of services include assessment, crisis intervention, navigation assistance, and stabilization services to the residents of Edmonton and suburban areas. Access will conduct triage, screening and assessment in order to best match an individual’s need(s) to services and programs. Access 24/7 offers a wide range of services, as indicated, which offer the least intrusive and most appropriate services to clients and their families whether that be within clinic, community or client's home, which are based on the needs identified.  This Administrative Support IV position reports to the Care Manager of Access 24/7 within Addictions & Mental Health. This position provides staff scheduling support to the program and Liaises with Provincial Staffing Services in order to ensure the program maintains an appropriate staffing compliment through the day using InforWFM/MySchedule. Key responsibilities include adding needs to the console for shift needs that result from staff vacation, leave of absence, illness, and education leave. Anticipating staffing needs and informing managers of shifts that require further attention. Entering data for payroll. The position also provides backup for other Admin Supports in the program as well as any other administrative duties as assigned. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. This rotation requires the selected candidate to work every other weekend. This is an on-site role based primarily out of Access 24/7 with the opportunity to work some shifts at Alberta Hospital Edmonton.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

1 - 3 years of staff scheduling experience in health care. Past experience and proficiency using ESP (Environment for Scheduling Personnel). Customer service orientation on the telephone with strong verbal and written communication skills, and a willingness to collaborate. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal direction and within a team environment. Ability to multitask and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions and changing work demands required. Excellent time management and interpersonal skills required. Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team. Accurate data entry and attention to detail skills required. Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills required. Demonstrated knowledge navigating through and working with a variety of computer applications including Word, Excel, Connect Care. Ability to ambulate and move quickly in response to emergency situations. Experience in an addiction and mental health setting, preferably an acute care environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of Medical office certificate, Unit Clerk course, HR Diploma, or equivalent training and experience. Experience and proficiency with ESP (Environment for Scheduling Personnel). Completion of Scheduler or Liaison training in WFM. Working knowledge of applicable collective agreements and pay codes. Connect Care trained, including in “Front Desk”, “Registration Basics”, “Clinic Referrals”, “Ambulatory Clerk/Admin”, and “Schegistrar”.
