Completion of some post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant). Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of some post-secondary education required (e.g.) medical billing clerk certification, undergraduate degree, office administration certification, or database management Certification. Intermediate – Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency. Intermediate – Advanced Excel proficiency required, certificate preferred. Medical Terminology (Intermediate Level) required. High School Diploma required. Accuracy and attention to granular detail – required. Demonstrated effective, diplomatic, collaborative communication skills required. Proficient data entry, word processing, spreadsheet development and revision, reporting; creating flowcharts and graphics.
Preferred Qualifications:Medical billing experience an asset. Minimum of 3-5 years or more data management experience (Combination of experience and education will be considered). Minimum of 3-5 years in a health care setting. Beginner-Intermediate Visio (or other process mapping) experience and/or certificate an asset. Strong and proven problem solving and analytical skills.
