Your Opportunity:

The role of the Accounts Payable (AP) Help Desk is to handle inquiries from internal and external customers of Accounts Payable, either by phone or by email. The AP Help Desk is the first point of contact for vendors and physicians of AHS to inquire about payment status, as well as to support all levels of AHS staff on finance applications and processes. Duties include, but are not limited to: handling incoming calls, data entry / tracking of all calls, responding to emails/ tracking, investigating and resolving problem invoices, reviewing vendor statements and some invoice processing. We are a high volume, fast-paced department and as a member of the team, you will provide timely, professional responses and support. This position reports to the Supervisor/Manager of Accounts Payable.


As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education in accounting or business and/or minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting/finance or office administration environment. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a contact centre and applications. Demonstrated intermediate level competency in the use of MS Office applications including Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in and/or working knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures. Experience with Oracle ERP system.
