Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:

High school graduation or equivalent. Business College Graduation or equivalent. Experience in a secretarial support position. Experience in Microsoft office and familiarity with spreadsheets and database programs. Experience with time keeping and payroll documentation. Experience in meditech system. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Typing speed of 60 net w.p.m. from dictaphone or copy. Ability to operate computer terminal. Ability to organize own work to meet pre-established deadlines and to comply with staff schedule. Evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills. Evidence of maturity and pleasant, professional manner in dealing with medical staff and hospital personnel. Evidence of thoroughness and attention to detail in performing secretarial tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary education (degree) preferred.
