Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Medical Terminology required. A minimum of 3-5 years previous Administrative Support IV experience required. Experience in outpatient clinics/ambulatory care required. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with multi-disciplinary appointment booking required. Minimum of 3 years’ experience processing physician orders required. Fluency in English language skills in reading, writing, and oral communication required. Maintains a professional image and demonstrated ability to remain calm, courteous, sensitive, and tactful. Accurate and proficient typing and telephone skills required. A minimum of three years’ experience working with Clinibase, Millennium/Cerner, OACCS, Netcare, and SCM Ambulatory required. A minimum of two years working with Windows, Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), functioning at an intermediate skill level in data base creation and management, spreadsheet creation and management, and word processing required. Demonstrated strong organizational & prioritization skills, attention to detail, and accuracy required. Ability to engage in ongoing communication with patients, colleagues, and physicians, and various inpatient and outpatient departments in a positive manner required. Must be able to embrace change. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality required. Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize, problem solve, and handle frequent interruptions required.

Demonstrated ability to work well under stress.
