Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum one-year administrative experience in a multidisciplinary health care setting. Accurate keyboarding skills of minimum 40 words per minute. Intermediate computer skills (i.e. MS Office, Word, Excel PowerPoint, Access Outlook Calendar & email).Effective communication techniques (correct use of business English, spelling, grammar, proofreading). The incumbent may be required to complete & pass a skills assessment. Working knowledge of NetCare, Clinibase, SCM, Millennium Scheduler, OR Manager, billing software, iExpense. Medical Terminology and a Medical Office Assistance Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications:

Complex clinical admin support to a physician within the last three years (related health care environment may be considered) Sound knowledge & experience in: surgical bookings, referral/waitlist management, scheduling, health record management, WCB/insurance claims, telephone communications & billing codes. Self-directed, critical thinker, effective time management, flexibility & attention to detail. 4 years admin experience in a multidisciplinary health care.
