Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary Certificate/Diploma in Office Administration with three to five years administrative experience. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction by showing a high level of tact and diplomacy while maintaining absolute confidentiality. Ability to exercise judgment, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential issues. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must possess excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast paced, high demand, challenging environment with shifting priorities. Demonstrate the ability to be self-directed, take initiative, prioritize work responsibilities and meet multiple demands. Ability to work independently as well as in a team structure. Excellent computer skills including knowledge of e-People, Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Word, Excel and Outlook. Valid driver’s license as travel to other communities will be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Administrative experience in a healthcare setting is preferred or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Previous experience working in a medical office or facility preferred. Working knowledge of AHS systems and processes is an asset. Experience using PeopleSoft, ePeople Payroll, RMS, and iExpense preferred.
