Your Opportunity:

The Pharmacy Department at Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is seeking an organized and adaptable Administrative Support IV to support the Pharmacy Managers and department. Responsibilities including staff scheduling, timekeeping and payroll support, recruitment and onboarding coordination, records management, routine financial transactions, meetings, reporting, and other administrative activities. Working with a high degree of independence, the successful candidate will manage competing priorities, respond to changing operational needs, resolve administrative issues within the scope of the role, and handle confidential employee and payroll information with discretion. The role works closely with pharmacy leaders and staff and liaises with other AHS services as required. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable learning new systems, and able to communicate professionally while maintaining accuracy in a busy environment. The role offers varied work and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to pharmacy operations at GPRH. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of an Administrative Professional diploma, Office Assistant certificate, Business Administration certificate, or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and relevant administrative experience. Minimum two years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in healthcare or another complex operational environment. Experience with several of the following: staff scheduling, timekeeping or payroll support, recruitment and onboarding coordination, records management, and routine financial transactions. Experience handling confidential employee information with discretion. Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a busy environment. Strong communication, judgment, discretion, and collaboration skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience within AHS or another large healthcare organization. Experience with e-People, ESP, RMS, Connect Care, SharePoint, or related systems. Experience supporting scheduling and payroll processes in a unionized environment. Advanced Excel, reporting, or data-management skills.
