Your Opportunity:

The Administrative Support IV – Scheduling and Payroll, manages complex staff shift scheduling, master rotations, and timekeeping/payroll tasks within Assisted Living Alberta, reporting directly to the managers overseeing Home Care, Ambulatory Clinics, Shelters, and Housing portfolios. This role is distinguished from lower levels by a higher degree of independence, decision-making, and specialization requiring proficiency developed through education and extensive on-the-job experience. Key Responsibilities as Directed and Required by Leadership: Staff Scheduling and Payroll. Process timecards, track hours worked and troubleshoot complex payroll or coding discrepancies. Keep accurate electronic records of staff availability, shift trades, absences and leaves. Coordinate with managers and nursing staff to fill vacant shifts efficiently under collective agreement rules. Provides back-up or cross-coverage support to other administrative staff as required during absences or workload peaks.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum one year staff scheduling experience. Timekeeping or payroll experience, familiarity with the various applicable collective agreements and pay codes. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience working in a unionized environment.
