Your Opportunity:

The town of Peace River is nestled in the beautiful Peace River valley & is the cultural and economic hub of the Peace Region of northwestern Alberta. The town population is about 6,000 with a surrounding catchment of 10,000. As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum two years in an Admin role. Medical terminology. Unit Clerk or Medical Office Assistant certification. Experience working within a healthcare environment. Knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures, and privacy. Understanding of clinical workflows and multidisciplinary team environments. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and support multiple leaders. Assist in the training and overseeing of multiple Admins.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to assume responsibility. Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. Ability to cooperate, work independently and promote good teamwork. Perception, initiative, good judgment and concern for detail and accuracy. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Ability to work under pressure while multi-tasking.
