Administrative Support IV
Your Opportunity:
This Admin Support position currently supports the Cardiology Clinic and Cardiology Diagnostics. However, there may be a requirement to support other outpatient clinics within the portfolio as required. As the Administrative Support IV you will work both collaboratively and independently with a multi-disciplinary team within the Outpatient Clinic. Following the clinic protocols for the provision of clerical and organization support to the Outpatient Clinics, you will perform a variety of administrative support duties including but not limited to: reception duties, receiving and processing referrals, organizing and scheduling patient appointments, file maintenance, data entry/review, template and waitlist management, clinic flow, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. As the Admin Support IV you will be self-directed; work under minimal supervision, have strong communication, professionalism and customer service skills; demonstrate independent decision-making, problem-solving skills; time management, confliction resolution, heights and weights, vitals and other clinical requirements, accurately collect & document information in a timely manner; be adaptable in an environment with constant interruptions and short timelines; show accountability and attention to detail; and demonstrate an enhanced ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in providing care to children and their families, many with complex medical problems.

Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a Unit Clerk or Medical Office Assistant program including Medical Terminology. 1 year experience providing administrative support in an outpatient healthcare setting. Experience with booking appointments, electronic chart management, understanding of clinic workflow/processes, telephone etiquette and skills. Experience booking complex diagnostic testing. Experience using an electronic booking/scheduling system.
Preferred Qualifications:3 years’ experience providing administrative support in an outpatient healthcare setting. 1 year experience booking complex medical appointments with multiple providers, and/or diagnostic testing, and/or multiple department combined scheduling. Experience with OR booking would be an asset. Experience working with children in an educational/healthcare, childcare or related setting. Experience with Connect Care including template building, slicer dicer, and reporting.
