Your Opportunity:
The Health Information Management (HIM) Provincial Services Scheduler plays a key role within the HIM department, responsible for the day-to-day scheduling operations of HIM Provincial Services. Reporting to the Supervisor , HIM-Provincial Services Access and Disclosure, the Scheduler maintains accurate staff schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage, coordinates coverage for planned and unplanned absences, maintains staff rotations, and ensures accurate capture of pay data in accordance with established policies, procedures, and collective agreement provisions. The incumbent works independently and requires extensive knowledge of the organization, applicable collective agreements, and a thorough understanding of HIM Provincial Service operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines. You work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:1 year of recent experience in a customer service environment, including scheduling and payroll within a complex organization. Demonstrated experience resolving complex scheduling and payroll issues. 1–3 years of experience working in a medical office or general office setting required. Keyboarding skills with a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm (testing required). Strong English language skills in reading, writing, and comprehension, with effective oral and written communication abilities required. Fundamental understanding of applicable collective agreements and Health Shared Services (HSS) policies and procedures related to scheduling and payroll.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated experience resolving complex scheduling and payroll issues. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including active listening and interpretation skills.
