Administrative Support IV
Your Opportunity:
Our business team is hiring a dynamic, smart, kind, collaborative, creative, reliable, solution-oriented person for a full-time Administrative Support IV role. The team works Monday to Fridays from 8:00am – 4:15pm (nice hours!) out of the Edmonton Community Health Hub North at 13211 Fort Road NW (North-East location, easy access, and great parking). We have a small but mighty team that you would be working alongside, in a busy office environment, providing operational support to the Facility and Supportive Living program and subsequently the thousands of clients they serve! Duties include: using Connect Care for receiving and processing referrals, scheduling client appointments, running reports; providing administrative support to leaders and teams, updating and circulating on-call schedules, revising time sensitive coverage and deployment lists (using a variety of programs such as Adobe DC and MS Office tools), reconciling payroll, requesting equipment, working with stakeholders on projects and program initiatives, cross training to cover teammates & generally juggling at least 5 balls at once. The incumbent will also be cross trained to work with the medical surgical supply team prepping orders to be delivered across the entire Edmonton area. The Administrative Support IV also contributes expertise to relevant processes, procedures, job aides, presentation materials and manuals, as well as trains with team members to develop skills and ensure team coverage. Flexibility and willingness are essential to ensure the team can meet the changing needs of the program.

Additional Required Qualifications:A certificate or diploma in a post-secondary administrative program. Intermediate to advanced skills using the MS Office Suite specifically Outlook, Word and Excel (demonstrated through skills test). Must have computer keyboarding experience with a proven typing speed of 50 wpm (demonstrated through skills test). Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a clerical setting (preferably healthcare related). Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Excellent customer service skills and willingness to help others. Flexibility and adaptability to work within a busy environment to meet changing team and program needs. Expertise in scheduling complex meetings, managing electronic communication, completing data entry, formatting, and proof-reading documents. Understanding of health information management and related practices. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in completing work. Must be independent with a positive outlook and work well within a team environment. Candidates are required to attach an up-to-date resume with their online application. The Administrative Support IV does not interact directly with clients but ensures essential services are provided that is highly impactful to care.
Preferred Qualifications:Sitting for extended periods, computer work. Lifting office/medical supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 lbs. Using repetitive motions (e.g. keyboarding). Lifting, bending, reaching, and standing for moderate periods.
