Your Opportunity:

Under the Direction of the Area Manager, the Home Care Administrative Support IV provides support to the Home Care Team and works with other clerical and professional staff to contribute to the effective operation of the team. In some assignments, the Administrative Support IV is expected to work in partnership with another Admin Support IV. The Team Administrative Support IV is the first point of contact while answering phone calls for the busy Seniors North & Dementia Care Team Interdisciplinary Teams. They also perform clerical duties which include, yet are not limited to: faxing, scanning, filing, distributing and sending mail, generating reports, payroll duties, copying, work in Microsoft Word, Excel and Connect Care - Client Electronic Health Record, preparing agendas and taking minutes, order stationary supplies, etc. This is a very busy position so you must be able to multi-task and work with shifting priorities and deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma supplemented by Secretarial or computer courses is required. Typing a minimum of 50 wpm is required. Medical Terminology is required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, telephone management and problem solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. 2-4 years of related office experience. Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook e-mail, WFM, SharePoint. Demonstrated accuracy with computer/administrative duties. Have availability Mon-Fri during the day. If internal to AHS – 0.6 FTE or lower.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous community related experience a definite asset. Demonstrated ability to work as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
