If you are a positive, highly organized, results oriented professional, the Clinical Transition Education (CTE) Admin IV position is for you! As the Basic Life Support (BLS) Program Administrator, you will use your experience and skills in planning, organization, communication, and coordination to support learners and instructors in the BLS program. You will be a valued member of the Clinical Transition Education (CTE) team and join us in supporting the confidence and competence of health care providers to deliver safe, quality care to patients and families. CTE is a dynamic, hybrid team working from multiple sites in Alberta. The location of this position is Red Deer, but you will support training across the province. As a BLS Program Administrator, you will report to the Senior Practice Lead for BLS. The successful candidate must be able to work independently with minimal guidance in a complex, fast-paced environment while be able to handle multiple tasks, changing priorities, and short deadlines. The candidate will demonstrate flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to new situations and learn to implement new systems in a changing environment. This position requires the ability to work well in a team environment, understanding the team’s purposes and goals and contributing ideas as they will work closely with other Administrative Support staff within the Associate Chief Nursing Office.

Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a recognized post-secondary healthcare-related, business-related or IT technical program. Three or more years’ experience at an Administrative Assistant IV or higher. Knowledge of CPR training, specifically the BLS course through Heart and Stroke. Experience with iExpense or expense claims and invoices. Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint Experience creating and updating email distribution lists. Experience using virtual platforms such as MS Teams and Zoom. Experience in supporting provincial programs at Admin IV is required. Experience with all aspects of organizing educational courses. Experience in ePeople, payroll, timekeeping and shift redistribution. Outstanding interpersonal communication and organizational skills, including conflict resolution. Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities. Manage competing priorities with a high degree of efficiency. Ability to work within a virtual team effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:Background experience in education management and coordination. Experience with blended (online and in person) educational courses. Knowledge of CPR feedback devices. Knowledge of the AHS Resuscitation Education Platform.
