Your Opportunity:

Working at the Diagnostic Imaging reception and booking desk at the Richmond Road Diagnostic & Treatment Centre this position’s assigned work includes greeting patients, bookings, patient documentation, order entry, telephone coverage, electronic scheduling patients and assisting with the technical staff when required. Must be able to work all shifts including days, evenings and weekends is required.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Medical Terminology Course required. It's Your Move and CPR certification required. Accurate and proficient keyboarding skills - must be able to type a minimum of 35 wpm. Absolute attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent knowledge of the English language both written and oral. Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional image, manage stressful situations with empathy and to remain calm, courteous, sensitive, and tactful. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Skilled at paying close attention to detail. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Able to prioritize work and cope with frequent interruptions. Minimum 2 years of Diagnostic Imaging experience. Minimum 3 months' recent experience in a hospital or medical environment, involved in booking, reception, and clerical duties preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in Windows (Word, Excel, Internet, and Email). Must be able to utilize dual monitors. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and push/pull 50 lbs. May assist healthcare providers with lifting or transferring patients and pushing stretchers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Connect Care Experience is an asset. Current experience in a Diagnostic Imaging Department with MRI, CT, General Xray and Special Procedures workflow preferred. Previous electronic Diagnostic Imaging Scheduling experience preferred. Recognized Business/Clerical course desired.
