Your Opportunity:

Lander Treatment Centre, located in Claresholm (one and half hours south of Calgary) is a Recovery Alberta short-term intensive, bed-based addiction treatment facility supporting adults experiencing problems as a result of their alcohol use, other drug use, or gambling. Working under the supervision of the Admin Support lead, you will be responsible for providing quality client service and fostering a respectful health care environment for clients, families and referrals. You will be a critical part of the admissions team responsible for processing and tracking referrals, booking and confirming admission dates, and managing the waitlist and bed flow to maintain occupancy standards. In addition to working collaboratively with other admin support and nurses on the admission team, you will work closely with community partners, including detox facilities and shelters, to coordinate referrals and care transitions. You will provide general information about Lander Treatment Centre and its programs as well as detailed information and instructions to help clients prepare for their admission and treatment stay. Other duties include providing coverage for the Centre’s switchboard and for the receptionist role during breaks and absences. Your strong organizational skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced setting are key elements to success in this role. Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must have excellent public relation skills with polite and pleasant telephone manners. Substantial experience and ability with computer data entry and Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment is required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen, comprehend and orally respond to or relay information, directions, or questions in person, over the phone or in writing, in an accurate, clear, and concise manner. Ability to prioritize work, give attention to details and effectively cope with frequent interruptions. Ability to maintain a professional image and to remain calm, courteous, sensitive and tactful when difficult or challenging situations arise. Ability to adhere to the policies regarding client confidentiality and records management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a health care setting, knowledge and understanding of addiction related issues and services are assets. Experience managing referrals, work queues and appointments in Connect Care.
