Your Opportunity:
The Assisted Living Alberta Home Care Team in Fort McMurray is looking to fill a crucial Administrative IV role to keep the group moving forward. This team provides services to clients who choose and can maintain an active, healthy, and independent living while remaining in their chosen community residence. ALA respects and supports client choices and collaborates with individuals, caregivers, professionals, and other community resources to optimize health and care in the community. The person in this role will utilize attention to detail and organizational skills daily as you order the supplies needed for the team and medical billing. Outstanding communication skills, understanding medical terminology, customer service, and a professional attitude will be needed to interact with the patients, family members and team. You will also be working independently, so you will require strong Microsoft office skills and the confidence to work on your own while dealing with shifting priorities. Located within Fort McMurray which resides on Treaty 8 territory, the largest treaty by area in the history of Canada. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, ALA currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an office setting.
Preferred Qualifications:Medical Office Assistant course would be an asset. Experience with medical billing or accounts receivable. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Will be able to demonstrate through work experience strong technical skills, adaptability to different software systems, and the ability to efficiently manage digital communication, documentation, and purchasing processes. Must have strong comprehension of the English language and must be able to articulate to patients, families, and team.
