Your Opportunity:
As a key member of the team at the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI), you will support recruitment and scheduling across multiple diverse departments, including inpatient and ambulatory units. Your role is essential in ensuring the optimal allocation of human resources to maintain safe, efficient operations and uphold the exceptional standard of patient care for which CCI is known. The Administrative Support IV (Admin IV) in this role will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service that contributes to the delivery of high-quality care. Success in this role requires effective organization skills, the ability to make sound independent decisions, able to navigate conflict or challenging situations with professionalism and excellent communication skills. Possessing strong problem-solving skills are essential to support the dynamic needs of staff and ensure smooth operational continuity. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating employee schedules, ensuring timely and accurate communication of staffing changes across departments, collaborating on process improvement projects, and preparing and distributing staffing reports. This role also involves ensuring compliance with applicable union agreements and internal policies, supporting the recruitment management process (RMS), and collaborating with operational teams to anticipate and plan for future staffing needs. There is opportunity to be cross-trained to support other clinical areas. The Admin IV is supported by a management team dedicated to supporting the growth and development of all team members.

Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum one year Staffing Clerk experience in an acute care center within the last 2 years. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous interruptions, noise, and changing demands. Proficient in utilizing employment laws, collective agreements and standard operating procedures to support staffing requirements for safe patient care. Computer keyboarding skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to prioritize and manage stress. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Sound conflict management skills. Proficiency in scheduling software. Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to lift, push, or pull more than 35 pounds. Bending, lifting, walking long distances at times as well as long periods of sitting is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Solid familiarity with RMS. Experience in an acute care and ambulatory units. Experience in process improvement. Strong familiarity with Excel, building and managing reports. Quality improvement training.
