Administrative Support IV
Your Opportunity:
This unit-based scheduler position utilizes the Infor WFM program and works within established staff scheduling processes to complete complex and often urgent staff scheduling tasks within short timelines. Attention to detail is crucial. You will need to adapt to frequent interruptions and shifting priorities, as you ensure that employees are scheduled appropriately and in accordance with AHS policies, procedures, and collective agreement provisions. Your technical and interpersonal communication skills enable you to provide outstanding customer service to valued clients and help with training and orientation of new staff. As the successful scheduler your key responsibilities will include filling shifts that result from vacancies and other leave requests, anticipating staffing needs and informing managers of shifts that require further attention, entering data for payroll and completing scheduling reports. Your people skills will be key in developing trusted relationships, effective interdisciplinary communication with clients and prioritizing with a patient focused mind-set. You will be required to work closely with our scheduling team and unit managers.

Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of post-secondary education (e.g., Certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration or related degree). Must have completion of the following courses: Staffing Services for Unit Based Roles – Using the Unit Based Scheduling Model. E-People Timekeeper Basics - HRSS Tk 101: Collective Agreement for timekeepers. Minimum of three years current experience working with ESP (Environment for Scheduling Personnel) in a BAU or unit based staffing office including scheduling, timekeeping and payroll. Must have experience working in a unionized health care environment, knowledge of applicable collective agreements.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum three years customer experience. Knowledge and efficient operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.
