Administrative Support IV

This position supports the Family Medicine Physicians at the Kaye Edmonton Clinic within the Kaye Edmonton Clinic. Duties include booking patients for appointments, checking and rooming patients, answering multiple phonelines, obtaining and recording vital signs, documenting reasons for visit, preparing supplies and equipment for physicians and clerical support using an electronic medical record (Connect Care). The Administrative Assistant may be asked to assist multiple physicians and therefore should be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of phone calls.

As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a Unit Clerk or Medical Office Assistant Program. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population. Ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. Must be able to multitask in a busy and fast paced environment. Ability to lift, move, push and pull office equipment and supplies and porter patients. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to walk distances up to 20 minutes at a time. Lifting, pushing, pulling up greater than 50lbs. Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting. Experience with connect care in ambulatory environment.
