Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields.

Additional Required Qualifications:

High School Graduation is required. Successful completion of a recognized Clerk / Admin. course required. Must have medical terminology and three (3) years working in a surgical environment. Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in assigned duties. Extensive computer experience required. Ability to cope with frequent interruptions. Effective interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with patients, families and all levels of staff are required. Excellent time management, communication, multi-tasking skills and the ability to organize and prioritize workload effectively required. Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and independence in a team atmosphere. Demonstrated ability to adapt towards change. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have medical terminology and current three (3) years working in a surgical environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with scheduling an asset. Working advanced knowledge of MS Office including Excel, ESP, e-People (RMS Portion of e-People - Recruitment Management Systems), Connect Care, Netcare, EPIC< nternet, E-mail, Employee Scheduling; Oracle (P2P) and typing speed of 40 WPM.
