Your Opportunity:

Operating out of seven community sites across the city of Calgary and surrounding areas of Cochrane, Airdrie, and Chestermere, the Pediatric Community Rehabilitation Program provides multidisciplinary services for children 0-18. We are actively seeking an energetic Administrative Support IV to join our team in a temporary role. As the successful candidate for this position, you have: Good telephone skills and effective communication techniques (correct use of business English, spelling, grammar, proofreading). Time management and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated ability to function effectively within a dynamic, fast paced, multidisciplinary environment. Problem solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills. Ability to be self-directed, make decisions and work independently. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent Attention to detail. Once part of our team, you will join the dynamic administrative support team that supports the program and will contribute to the effective and efficient operation of our services. Your primary responsibilities will include: Handling of referrals and client files. Data entry. Appointment booking and rescheduling. Creating scheduling templates. Greeting families at the reception desk. General clerical support to Therapists and Therapists’ Assistants. General program/office support to the Pediatric Community Rehab program. Our immediate need is at the North West Calgary Health Centre in Ranchlands, but this position may provide support to other sites in the program as needed.


As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Clinibase and eScheduler. Advanced computer skills – word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook & Calendar, and Internet Explorer. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a medical office or multidisciplinary health care setting. Sound knowledge and experience in: processing referrals, appointment scheduling, health record documentation and filing, and telephone communications. Excellent communication and telephone skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in a community setting. Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in an office of similar size and complexity as the Pediatric Community Rehabilitation program.
