Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Effective communicator with the ability to establish strong relationships. Must be attentive to details and have the ability to critically think. Must have excellent writing and MS Office skills. Key Responsibilities: Communication, coordination and scheduling. Responsible for the coordination of daily schedules and calendars. Project coordination and research: Ensure physicians are organized and aware of deadlines for various projects. Compile, prepare and format documents including research grants, publications, abstracts/protocols, presentations, agendas, medical/legal reports, case reviews and any other documents required. Assist in literature searches and information compilation using both internal and external systems. Support and financial management: Required to keep accurate financial records both for grants and the program the physicians belong to. Have an understanding of academic research and the grant funding process. Initiate complex travel arrangements and events. Complete payment requisitions and process them. First point of contact for the physicians and research subjects and must liaise appropriately and professionally with all stake holders. Direct incoming calls and correspondence when required. Communicate with physicians in regards to messages, meetings, emails and deadlines. Plan, coordinate and schedule meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:

3-5 years of Administrative Support experience in a complex healthcare and academic environment. Must be well organized and must have the ability to problem solve and communicate solutions effectively. Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple deadlines.
