Your Opportunity:

Are you interested in changing how healthcare is delivered? Become part of the Access Improvement team and help us make it happen. As the Administrative Support IV, you will be supporting the project team through effective administration, meeting / event management, team co-ordination and fiscal accountability. Key responsibilities include: Manage meetings by researching and preparing background material, scheduling, agendas and minute production. Organizes team and project events, including conferences. Manages calendars. Responds to daily administrative inquiries. Manages the ordering, tracking and stocking of supplies and equipment. Develops administrative standards and procedures to meet AHS requirements. Keeps track of and organizes documents. Synthetizes information from various sources and assists with materials development and review. Refers to collective agreements to retrieve information for team members. Builds relationships with stakeholders. Processes the payroll. Manages travel arrangements and processes travel expenses. Co-ordinates team activities. Assists with new hires paperwork and process. Kicks off and participates to the team’s social committee. Responds to stakeholders’ information requests. The Access Improvement program enables patients, primary care physicians, specialists and the health care team to transform the referral process in order to improve navigation and access to specialist services. EReferral provides Alberta Netcare users the ability to create, submit, track and manage referrals in real time, leveraging existing Alberta Netcare information and utilizing status tracking to reduce incorrect and incomplete referrals. Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary administrative secretarial certification. Five years or more relevant experience. Minimum Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in administrative health services preferred. Previous experience working with various levels of seniority. Experience supporting communications or participating in conference planning considered an asset.
