Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recognized Medical Office Assistant certificate, or equivalent required. Medical terminology required. Minimum 2 years previous Clerk III or equivalent experience satisfactory to the employer required, within the last 4 years. Minimum 2 years in outpatient neurology clinics, dealing directly with the public, required within the last 4 years. Minimum of 1 year experience in Clinical Neurosciences required. Prior experience working with the public required. Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and verbal, required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Maintains a professional image and demonstrated ability to remain calm, courteous, sensitive and tactful. Accurate and proficient typing and telephone skills required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience required using each of the following IT applications: Millennium scheduler, Clinibase, OACCS, Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access). Demonstrated ability to work well under stress. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to embrace change. Must be motivated, self-directed, and able to prioritize and keep pace in busy clinics. Demonstrated strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy required. Must be able to prioritize and organize to meet the needs of several members of the team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SCM Ambulatory preferred. Experience with Rightfax preferred.
