Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

File management and creation experience. 2 years previous experience in related position in a busy health care environment. Excellent typing, computer and navigation skills. Must be proficient in working with Microsoft Office Suite and must demonstrate the ability to learn new applications. Demonstrated ability to attend to persons presenting in crisis. Effective communication and empathetic interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated proficiency in oral and written language skills. Must be able to exercise judgment, professionalism, diplomacy and discretion particularly when dealing with highly sensitive confidential issues and conflict resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary Business or Office Administration Diploma/Certificate. Non – Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification and BCLS-HCP/First Aid certification (willing to train). Previous administrative experience in Addiction or Mental Health setting. Knowledge of mental health terminology. Able to set priorities in the face of multiple demands, work productively, and problem solve.
