Join the Pediatric Surgery, ENT, and Ophthalmology programs and play a key role in supporting children, youth, and families throughout their care journey. As an Administrative Support III, you will be the first point of contact for patients and families, helping to create a welcoming and compassionate experience from arrival through discharge. In this integral role, you will support the day-to-day operations of the busy ambulatory clinics by coordinating patient scheduling, managing referrals, facilitating communication, and ensuring seamless administrative processes. Working collaboratively with physicians, medical office assistants, nurses, allied health professionals, and leadership, you will contribute directly to exceptional patient care and clinic operations. Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Administrative Support III provides comprehensive administrative and operational support across the Pediatric Trauma, Surgery & Child Kind portfolio. This position supports multiple service areas and will be cross-trained to provide coverage within Pediatric Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Unit 4D, and the Surgery Booking Office, offering a unique opportunity to develop a broad understanding of specialty pediatric services. As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Previous Pediatric Surgery, ENT, Opthalmology or specialty clinic experience. Completion of Medical Terminology training. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, connect care and referral pathways, Netcare and the electronic medical records system. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively in a busy, often noisy clinical environment. Proven dependability, reliability, and strong attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism when dealing with patients, families, physicians, and multidisciplinary team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPR is an asset. Medical Office Assistant (MOA) or Medical Office Administration Certificate.
