Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Candidates must have experience working in an administrative setting. Proficiency with MS office applications required, specifically Outlook and Excel. Keyboarding skills with a minimum of 50 wpm proficiency with a 97% accuracy. Ability to communicate in English clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff, management, and vendors. Must demonstrate strong multitasking abilities and organizational skills. Ability to use critical thinking skills to objectively analyze information and draw a rational conclusion. Must work well in a team environment but also be capable of working independently with limited supervision. Effective organization skills, ability to prioritize, accuracy and attention to detail. Must be a self-starter, work with confidential information, demonstrate initiative and be able to action assigned tasks. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment which may include patient critical requests. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. A mandatory knowledge and skills test will be administered to selected candidates.
Preferred Qualifications:Some formal education and/or training in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Management. Completed a course in relevant areas of study and obtained associated certifications. Oracle or other ERP system experience is an asset. Healthcare product knowledge and experience in a healthcare setting. Preference given to candidates who are working towards certification in Supply Chain, Procurement, or other relevant areas of study.
