Administrative Support III
Your Opportunity:
This Clerk position supports the functions of the Chest Medicine Clinic in the Ambulatory Care department of the RAH. The Chest Medicine Clinic supports Thoracic Surgery, Interventional Pulmonary Medicine, and ATOP (Alberta Thoracic Oncology Program) patients. The position is responsible for: Checking patients into the electronic system. Directing patients and initiating patient charts. Answering phones, scanning and email, faxing. Communicating with patients, families, and internal/external stakeholders. Ordering clinic supplies. Entering payroll. Entering clinic metrics into provincial and clinic databases. This position will also be required to cross cover the Unit Clerk as needed. Additional orientation will be provided and the successful candidate will be appropriately compensated with acting in the Unit Clerk role.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:This clinic provides high quality outpatient services for patients with often sensitive and difficult health diagnosis. For this reason the successful candidate must have: Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated professional demeanor and ability to support patients Experience with Microsoft Office, and Connect Care experience required. The ability to maintain a sitting position for long periods of time. The ability to lift, move, and transfer weights of over 350lbs. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Medical terminology preferred.
