Administrative Support III
Your Opportunity:
The Cardio-Respiratory program provides respiratory and cardiology diagnostic testing and treatment at 9 different sites across the South West Corridor. This part-time Administrative Support III position is an essential member of the South Zone Cardio-Respiratory team. Your key responsibilities may include, but not be limited to: clinical support (processing referrals, interviewing patients to ensure completeness of patient information; scheduling patient appointments’ maintaining patient worklists and work queues); operational support (front desk reception; greeting and directing patients and families; answering and directing telephone calls; implementing operational processes and procedures); medical records management (sorting, distributing and preparing mail, parcels, packages; completing photocopying, faxing, and scanning); and data management and reporting (inputting, organizing, and validating data information systems; identifying data discrepancies and escalating for follow up; reviewing data for quality assurance standards and following up to resolve errors). This position is primarily located at the South Zone Sleep Laboratory in the Lacidem Building, however, may occasionally work at the Chinook Regional Hospital in the Cardio-Respiratory Department. Work at this level requires an in-depth understanding of departmental workflow processes and procedures, as well as strong relationships with colleagues.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Previous experience scheduling appointments and communicating with patients & health care providers. Must be able to sit and type on the computer and use a mouse for prolonged periods of time. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated learning mindset and flexibility. Demonstrated priority manage and ability to work in a distracting environment with frequent interruptions. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving capacity. Strong English language proficiency, both written and oral.
Preferred Qualifications:Prior administrative experience managing charts & paper records. Experience supporting complex pre- and post-clinic workflows including referral/follow-up and waitlist management; chart management (both paper & electronic); and adhering to multifaceted work-flow processes and procedures. Experience using Clinical Systems: Connect Care, Paceart.
