Your Opportunity:
Located at the Cochrane Addiction and Mental Health Clinic in the Cochrane Community Health Center, this position has primary responsibility to support the day-to-day operations of a busy Rural Addiction and MH clinic. The position supports the various clinical teams (Outreach, Geriatric, Adult and Child and Adolescent therapy, Addictions and Urgent Mental Health) as well as psychiatrists, supervisors and manager. Working under minimal guidance and direction, this position performs secretarial, reception, and administrative support duties involving a high degree of self-initiative, flexibility, decision-making skills and ability to prioritize activities to meet the diverse needs of each program and staff that work within. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum high school diploma and post-secondary training in medical or health administration/office management. An ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities in order to meet the needs of a diverse community outpatient clinic. Minimum two years' experience using AHS Health Records processes and procedures and AHS electronic health record systems. Minimum keyboarding speed of 50 wpm.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 2 years' experience supporting community outpatient, zone, or provincial Addiction and Mental Health programs. Demonstrated knowledge, experience and training specific to working in an administrative front line Addiction and Mental Health environment.
