Administrative Support III
Your Opportunity:
Under the supervision of the Care Manager, the Administrative Support III is responsible for providing reception and clerical support to the Tertiary Neuropsychiatric Clinics and Unit 303 Day Patients at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. As the receptionist for the clinics and Unit 303 Day Patients, the incumbent is the initial point of contact and must have an excellent customer service attitude and compassion for families with mental health concerns. Clerical duties include receiving internal and external phone calls, receiving and sorting mail, maintenance of electronic charts, scheduling patient follow-up appointments, preparing schedules as well typing correspondence and sending/receiving faxes. The incumbent works cooperatively with other clerks to assist with varying workloads throughout the day, covering when necessary as a result of staff absences. Ability to prioritize health service requests is essential.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Post-secondary secretarial/administrative diploma or equivalent. Medical terminology required. Transcription skills required as well as strong computer skills. Excellent planning, organizational, time management and customer services skills are required. Physically able to lift 11 kg and walk frequently to the Tertiary Neuropsychiatric Clinic and Unit 303 Day Patient Unit. The children and youth who attend these programs experience significant mental health and/or behavior issues who may demonstrate anger and/or anxiety. Ability to work in a noisy environment is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:1-2 years experience in a health care setting preferred, particularly within mental health services.
